2015 estimates of the forest products industry's contribution to Ohio's economy show the industry is growing and has recovered from the economic downturn. Converting wood into products resulted in almost $10 billion in value-added the industry's activities caused the employment of 122,000 Ohioans in 463 different sectors of the economy, resulting in $6.54 billion in wages and benefits.
