Chain of custody tracks material through the production process - from the forest to the consumer.

Certification

Third party certification provides assurance to consumers that the forest products they are purchasing were manufactured from trees harvested in a sustainable manner. Ohio’s 21 state forests, which comprise over 200,000 acres, were certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) in December, 2010. These materials discuss forest and chain-of custody certification.
